Ready Set Go

Feeling extra happy today, so I shall blog.

It was a sudden trip to Phuket with my siblings, last minute decision and booked the resort a week before. Just a kick start of my holiday after two months of internship. It was a morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket. Landed around 10:30am and were picked up by the resort’s driver at the airport. The journey from the airport to the resort is a long one, about one and a half hour. Arrived early but room was not ready so we were ushered to a hospitality room to wait. Instead of waiting, we wandered around the area and were looking for food.

When in Thailand, eat all the Thai food and make sure you drink tom yum soup everyday. Walked into this restaurant called “Grande”, those food wasn’t really impressive, not the best in town.

And back to the resort – Metadee Resort and Villas, where we stayed for the next 3 days. Metadee is one of the best resort I’ve ever stayed. Definitely a little piece of paradise! Walking from the lobby to the room  feels like a walk amidst jungle, which is totally amazing!

The staff drove us to our room, a pool access villa. Upon arriving at my room, the lemon grass fragrance really made the room smell so nice. It was so relaxing.

Outdoor gazebo with chairs and table. Simply love that they have plenty of shrubs on the balcony of the room offering us some privacy.

We had a pool access room, which was great to step from our deck straight into the water!

Settled down everything and had a short stroll to Kata beach, it was just 10 minutes walking distance. Although it was monsoon season but I’ve got sunshine everyday, I am just that lucky.

Wasn’t meant to swim at Kata beach, we were just trying to accustom ourselves with the burning hot weather and ready for more exciting activities on the next day. We were looking for good tattoo shop but back to the resort despairingly.

We had a dip in the pool before our dinner and that’s the exterior of the villa at a glance.

Il Tagliere da Massimo, an Italian restaurant right outside the corner of our resort offered the best pizza in town. Wood-fired traditional pizza oven, thin, light, crispy base. We went for the 99bhat Thai food specials and the food quality was good. We were super pleasantly surprised at how great the food was as it was featured on Tripadvisor.

Then walked around the street for a while.

We found a good tattoo studio finally, Hanuman Tattoo Studio which is located along the street. The tattoo artist was really helpful and friendly whereas the rest of the tattoo studio just don’t give a damn when we were inquiring.

Get our tattoo drawn and returned to the resort happily.
