Day 2 in Cologne was rather a museum visit day because it was Sunday and apparently all the shops were closed while museum were closed on Monday. Up to Cologne Cathedral in the morning and paid a visit to Romano-Germanic Museum and Kolumba Museum. Didn’t get to visit the Museum Ludwig but it was just next door to Romano-Germanic Museum which includes works from American Pop, post world war two art and has a fine Picasso collection. While studying our map, we found that 4711 Fragrance Museum was just up a side street however we were only able to take a peek from outside because it was closed. Good day ended with nice music and Früh Kölsch beer.
We couldn’t figure out where to go on day 3 so we hopped on the tram to Botanical Garden Flora on a nice and sunny day. Not a fan of tropical greenhouse but it was really beautiful in autumn. Early dinner at SPITZ before ending our city tour in Alter Markt for Nutcracker House and Schildergasse for shopping.
